Welcome to RCC KIDS

A dynamic ministry dedicated to serving children 8 weeks of age through 4th grade.

RCC partners with families to lead children on a journey of wonder, discovery, and passion for Jesus; teaching them what it means to know God, experience His love, and develop a personal relationship with Him.

Sundays | 10am

It is our privilege and joy to serve your family, and an opportunity we take seriously. We recognize that, at best, we get 52 hours each year with your child, and we desire to make the most of every one of them.

What Can I Expect?

RCC ENVIRONMENTS are tailored to the unique social and developmental needs of the children who attend.

Waumba Land Nursery and Preschool Environments are designed to meet the developmental and safety needs of children who are 8 weeks to 4 years, and are divided into four unique spaces.

Waumba Nursery (Children 8 weeks through 1 year)

Waumba Toddler (Two spaces designed for 2 and 3 year olds)

Waumba Pre-K (4 and 5 year olds)

Upstreet has its own worship wing and small group environments, tailored for children in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade.

Upstreet (K/1) is suited especially for children in Kindergarten and First Grade. Upstreet K1 enjoys its own worship and small group environments.

Upstreet (2nd-4th Grade) is suited especially for children in grades 2-4. Like K1, our 2nd-4th graders enjoy their own worship and small group environments.

RCC KIDS LEARNING is designed to provoke wonder and discovery, and invite kids into a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus. We use two curriculums in our children's ministry.

First Look: (Waumba Land) Lessons evolve around three core truths. 1) God made me. 2) God loves me. 3) God wants to be my friend forever. Each lesson is designed to cultivate wonder by meeting your child right where he/she is cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially to lay a solid spiritual foundation on which to grow.

252 Basics: (Upstreet) Lessons engage children through video based teaching based on three simple, yet powerful truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52. 1) I need to make the wise choice. 2) I can trust God no matter what. 3) I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

RCC KIDS CHECK IN opens at 9:45AM in the main RCC Kids Lobby. RCC Kids worship experiences correspond with adult worship so arrive early enough to check your child in, grab a cup of coffee and find great seat!

RCC KIDS SAFETY is top priority. Regarding our facilities, check in and pick up procedures, and volunteer requirements, we take your child's safety seriously. Each volunteer who cares for your child must meet age, safety, and character standards set by RCC. Volunteers are required to attend a minimum of six months, be a Partner of RCC and be an active participant in church life. Each volunteer has completed a mandatory criminal background check, Child Abuse and Neglect Clearance, and Sex Offender Registry Check, in addition to Child Safety Training. Our Volunteers are also offered First Aid and CPR certification on an annual basis.

PARTNERING WITH PARENTS. We believe our influence, combined with your influence, makes the greatest impact on your child's life. We commit to provide safe, engaging environments for your child to hear Biblical truths through relationship with a trusted adult who loves Jesus. We also commit to equip parents with “cues” -resources to help you guide your child on his or her faith journey at home.

Check out Parent Cue!

Parent Cue: Each month, you receive a focal memory verse, and each week, Parent Cues to help you reinforce the truths your child hears in RCC Kids. Each Parent Cue is designed to help parents make the most of everyday moments to deepen their relationship with their children, and impress on their children’s heart what it means to follow Jesus. This is just what God had mind- “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:7

Parent Cue App: In addition to the print resources provided in RCC Kids, The Parent Cue App (available in the App store) provides simple cues to remind you pause and connect with your child, as well as First Look and 252Kids videos, activities, and discussion questions. You will also find parenting resources (videos, podcasts, articles) just for you! Content is updated weekly.
